HMA, Nicholas Cannon, British Ambassador to Rwanda.

Nicholas Cannon has been HM Ambassador to Rwanda since January 2008 and additionally HM Ambassador to Burundi (non-resident) since April 2008.

Mr Cannon joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1988. In addition to postings to various departments in the FCO in London, he has served overseas in France, Cyprus and Pakistan. His most recent jobs have been as Assistant Private Secretary to the Prime Minister from 2003 to 2004, and in the Africa Directorate of the FCO from 2004 to 2007.

Mr Cannon is married with two sons.
